" IT'S ULTIMATELY THE DUTY OF THE SURVIVORS TO ENSURE THAT THE SACRIFICES OF THE FALLEN  ARE  NOT FORGOTTEN, BUT REMEMBERED, HONORED, AND SHARED SO THIER MEMORIES WILL LIVE ON FOREVER "

Since the inception of the New York State Troopers in 1917 , there have been one hundred and twenty five line of duty deaths .When these men and women were killed it  had an effect on many people. When a Trooper is killed a community loses a hero.  When a Trooper is killed a Mother and Father lose a child . When a Trooper is killed a spouse loses the one they loved and had planned on sharing their live together with .When a Trooper is killed  there are brothers and sisters that lose  a sibling . When a Trooper is killed a child loses a mommy or a daddy . Nothing can be more sad,  and nothing can compare to the loss of a loved one, especially when its unexpected and under tragic circumstances .
Many of these Troopers were also previous members of the United States Armed Forces . They fought on foreign lands to protect us back at home .When their tour was done , they returned home and  then and took on the duty of protecting us again . They did not have to do it , but they did. It is hard to find the words to thank someone who does this kind of thing . All you can do is honor them, and make sure that their memory and their sacrifices are never forgotten. Because they are true hero's.

This is the reason for the creation of "Tribute to Troopers"and "Troop Forever".

"Tribute To Troopers" is a group of volunteers from survivor families who want to ensure that the sacrifices of these Troopers are not forgotten . The primary goal of the Memorial Ride is to remind the public of what happened , and to let them know  that these were real people who lost their lives.
"Troop Forever" will be a ceremonial Troop comprised of the memories of our fallen Troopers . Each Trooper will have a monument type standup  and they will be holding a fact board that tells about the Troopers service and life . The Troop will be free to use by the community . We will use volunteers to take the Troop to any even event  that requests them .The sight of 125 Troopers , with their memory boards in hand  will surely stop any one in their tracks .
